Why the long face?

So, apparently, BO’s camp is pissed about the unflattering but satirical New Yorker cover. BBC News reports that BO spokesman Bill Burton said:

The New Yorker may think… that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create, but most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree.

Well, I am a reader, and I think it is neither “tasteless” nor “offensive.” I think it is meant to poke fun at right-wing NOBOs who believe the worst about BO. Besides, a PROBO drew the cartoon!

The way I see it is, one could only be offended if they were to take the image at face value instead of as a joke. If you truly didn’t believe that BO is a closeted Muslim or a terrorist, then what is the big effin deal?

Contrary to what he may believe about himself, BO is NOT above the law, nor is he exempt from political satire.
